Title:
Lubuntu does not get past the plymouth dots

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Booting a live session of Lubuntu Saucy Alpha 2 desktop 32-bit does
not get past the ubiquity dots. When booted without the default
options quiet splash I see the following *fail* messages (when
  starting programs)

  1. cups (should not be a show stopper)

  2. zRAM (probably not a show stopper)

  3. lightdm

It is possible to run a text screen with ctrl+alt+F1. It is
responsive, several text applications work, also the network.
