Title:
  External display nonfunctional

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
On a Dell Sputnik (XPS13, second generation), an accidental upgrade to
13.04 caused my DisplayPort external monitor to stop working. This is
an Intel i915 adapter. Rebooting and re-plugging the display in
various combinations hasn't helped; and neither does "detect displays"
in gnome-control-center. Xrandr shows the external display as
unconnected, and doesn't recognize any external modes for it. I think
this could be related to #1165965. I've attached my xorg log; nothing
immediately obvious stands out, except that it thinks DP1 is
  disconnected.
