Setting the Connector in the "Sound settings" to Speaker enables both (headphone and speaker). I searched the internet. It was suggested to add: a line: options snd-hda-inteli model="laptop-amic" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf I found the model for ALC269 (not the VC) but I'm not sure if it is the correct one.
