I think Mikkel's explanation is enough to close this bug. Thank you all!

Title:
Simple line and rectangle drawing tools

Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gimp

I want some simple drawing tools (like those found in Microsoft
  Paint).

For drawing straight lines and rectangles.

I use the Pencil tool in GIMP, but I cant draw a straight line, it is
  too difficult for me.

I want a simple line drawing tool, where I press and hold down the
mouse button, and then when I move the mouse, it doesn't really draw
the line until I release the button. It only shows how it would draw
it if i would release the button until I really release the mouse
button, then it really draws the line.
