(These are used to generate /etc/mailcap). In each of those files the command-line option "-no-oosplash" is included, which no longer seems to exist: $ libreoffice -no-oosplash Unknown option -no-oosplash LibreOffice doesn't ignore this and will fail to start. Replacing "-no-oosplash" with "--nologo" and running "sudo update- mime" works fine for me. In the source these files are debian/libreoffice-*.mime Thanks!
