Title:
[PORTEGE M500, Analog Devices AD1981, Speaker, Internal] No sound at
  all

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
There is no sound output from my laptop speakers... however, when
using headphones the volume is very very low, almost inaudible.

I have checked the volume levels with alsamixer and they are all set
to the maximum level. What can I do?
