Confirming that using a 2 pin headphone I can the microphone input sent to my headphones, or no input at all. In addition, the call volume starts out muted.

Now if you pull out the headphone jack and plug it in you can hear the sound in the headphones. On the end if we connect a 3 pin headphones (the one with a mic in it) things work pretty well and there is no need to reconnect the headphones. I have initially reported this for telephony service but I think its pulseaudio issue.
