You have been subscribed to a public bug: The file manager does not open on single click. However, it does open on middle click or when I use the quicklists. Moreover, when I try to open home, a new addition is made to the launcher and the icon contains a question mark. In essence, the Nautilius icon is not highlighted even when the application is open.
