Hello Iain, or anyone else affected, Accepted glib2.0 into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/2.38.1-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Fixes copying from backends that don't implement the latter. (Closes: #715436, LP: #1217230) This (not the cherry-picked patch, that is covered by its own bug) comes under the GNOME micro release exception. Install the SRU and test your system generally. If you don't see any regressions then the bug is fixed.
