Just did a clean install of Ubuntu 13.10. First thing I did was install VirtualBox Guest Extensions, then I installed Chromium. Same problem: the browser appears to stop responding because whatever is in the browser window gets stuck in time and then occupies the top visibility above all over apps. So if I try to move another app in front of Chromium, I still see the Chromium content area that's stuck from several minutes ago.
