Gateway Atom netbook. Default Unity. Previously upgraded from 11.04. Unknown display driver (not 3rd party). Oneric updates by Update Manager. Previous daily updates have been uneventful. After required reboot, two attempts to log in hung with either an arrow or an X cursor on a black screen. Had to hold the power button down to power off; system froze. After two reboots I could log in, but the wallpaper shrank to fill only part of the screen. Then a closing application (Gjot?, just installed) started looking smeared like a fuzzy, duplicated image of itself. Followed by failure pop-up windows and requests to report.
