In my current case (Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 25.0.1) I don't have any maximizing or missing title bar in maximized state (HUD displays fine when moving cursor to top). So from my point of view (as the reporter of this bug) the bug seems to be fixed in Ubuntu 12.04.
