Are these being tested with a clean profile ? 
Are you taking into account that ALL of the Firefox search methods now use 
whatever search engine is selected in the Search bar ?

I do not see any indication of what Firefox version is being tested.

Note the availability of addons such as this

And the ability to customise the Search Bar
 (The  KB article has a manual selector to look at versions appropriate to 
other Firefox versions and OS but the following is adirect link to the current

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

  Current behaviour:

  1) Start Firefox
  2) Press ctrl-k, type e.g. 'laptop' and hit enter
  3) You are taken to a page of google.com search results, including links to 
US-only stores, shopping results with prices in dollars etc.

  Correct behaviour:

  You are taken to google.co.uk, and correctly localised results are
  displayed.
