Hello
I'm coming back (a long time later...) and still same kind of problem.

I tried to upgrade to the 13.10, and i got very similar problem.
After installation, i get a low resolution (but the desktop has a higher
esoltuion, so windows may "go out" of the screen)
Mouse doesn't work, network doesn't work, just keyboard, and not really greatly.

Without the network, i couldn't try toupdate the paackages...

I also got a weid message when i'm loggin in telling me taht many type of
resoltuion were tried and that no one worked.
Difficult to speak more about this message (no copy paste, no scrennshot, next
time i will try to take a picture with a camera)
I try to installattion, both clean instal (i format the root partition, i
retrieve my home partition). i try to install once without downloading the
update during the installation, and a second with downloading the update
dureing the installation. Nothing worked...
If someon need me to debug, I think i will make two partitions, one with ubuntu
11.04 to work (working fine) and one to figure out what happen.
