The (first) workaround link above is no use because the information has been removed from the page and replaced with an instruction to update to 7.0.1. Folks, just because you've released 7.0.1 doesn't mean your downstreams all have too. Many Linux users run Firefox from distro packages, not direct from upstream, and not all downstreams have pushed out the 7.0.1 update yet. Removing the workaround text is plain rude.
The later workaround link in comment #61 did work for me, if anyone else is looking for a workaround. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/861664 Title: Upgrading Firefox/Thunderbird when an add-on update is waiting to be installed hides the add-on Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Fix Released Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “firefox” source package in Oneiric: Fix Released Status in “thunderbird” source package in Oneiric: Fix Released Bug description: This affects users by temporarily hiding their addon until another addon update/install prompts the addon manifest to be rebuilt.
