Gogeden, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  Random screen lock-ups?

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello,

I installed 13.10 on my machine back in November and I've been getting
these moments where the screen locks up and I can't move the mouse or
anything. I'm thinking it might be Xorg flaking out because when I
escape to an emergency terminal the sound will come back but the
screen is still frozen on whatever content was already on there.

I have to keep pressing and holding the power button and doing a hard
shutdown. This issue has happened to me at least over 20 times since I
  installed Ubuntu.

  Arch: AMD64
  Linux version: 3.11.0-14-generic
  Ubuntu version: 13.10 AMD64
  Graphics card: NVIDIA Geforce 8400
