dana elfassy, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-evdev REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
the letters of the keyboard of my laptop aren't recognized correctly

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hi,
My laptop is Vision model Clevo.
After installing ubuntu I had some internet disconnecting problems, and tried
to fix it by downloading a network drive.
After restarting the computer, about half of the letters of the internal
keyboard appeared as numbers and not as they should.
In addition the USB keyboard & mouse weren't recognized at all.
After removing the drive the USB keyboard & mouse were recognized again, but
the problem with the internal keyboard still exists. I'm attaching the files
lsusb-v., xkb, gconf.
  Thanks,
  Dana.

P.S: These are the command that were written in order to install & remove the
network drive:
  sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-cw-3.6-quantal-generic
  uname -a
  ubuntu-drivers
  cd
  vi bla.sh
   chmod +x bla.sh
   ./bla.sh
  sudo wget http://wireless.kernel.org/download/iw/iw-0.9.22.tar.bz2
  lsusb |grep -i eth
  lsusb |grep -i wi

  sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-backports-modules-cw-3.6-quantal-
  generic
