Did not reoccur in current 13.10 and 13.04 when I last checked, so I
assume this can be closed. I will repoen it or create a new bug should
this ever happen again.

Title:
Keystrokes get repeated one time too often

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Sometimes, keystrokes such as Cursor-Left get repeated one time too
often. E.g., when I have this text:

  aaaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbbbbb|

where my cursor is "|", when I press the left arrow on the keyboard
and stop pressing it between "a" and "b", the cursor halts there (as
expected). About half a second later, it steps to the left once more.

This can be observed in different applications, e.g. in gedit and in
vim running in guake. As I'm writing this, it does not seem to be
present in chromium. The behaviour is not reliable, it seems to depend
on the exact timing of the key up event.

This is a regression, as the problem started with an upgrade to
  precise.
