Bug description:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-cirrus
To reproduce, grab a recent Intrepid LiveCD and boot it up in KVM.
When it reaches X, it'll hang the guest. Filing against both KVM and
the Cirrus driver, as I've yet to determine whose fault it really is.
