  GIMP hangs when renaming a layer with capital letters using shift key

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  - Open GIMP
  - Create a new image
  - Try to rename the layer to something containing a capital letter using the
  shift key

  GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.6.12

  using GEGL version 0.0.22 (compiled against version 0.0.22)
  using GLib version 2.32.3 (compiled against version 2.32.1)
  using GTK+ version 2.24.10 (compiled against version 2.24.10)
  using Pango version 1.30.0 (compiled against version 1.30.0)
  using Fontconfig version 2.8.0 (compiled against version 2.8.0)

  I updated to 2.8 (using these instructions:
  http://www.maketecheasier.com/upgrade-to-gimp-2-8-in-ubuntu), but the problem
  exists there as well.

  GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.8.10
  git-describe: GIMP_2_8_8-55-g9bb7eb0

  using GEGL version 0.2.1 (compiled against version 0.2.1)
