Bug description:
  After upgrade from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10, logging in takes a long
  time, showing a black screen (mouse pointer active). Unity then loads,
  but hardware OpenGL acceleration seems disabled. After logging in,
  /usr/lib/libgnome-desktop-3-7/check_gl_texture_size reports 8192.
