Like many advanced terminal users, I consider the terminal a conduit to
send my keystrokes through to the applications within. Due to this, I
have the menu access keys option disabled (see attached screenshot for
proof). Unfortunately, when I hit Alt+F to move forward a word, I
instead find myself looking at the file menu. This happens whether or
not I have "Display Menubar" checked in the window in question.
I suspect that some sort of unity layer is thwarting gnome-terminal's
ability to shut this off, but I don't understand enough of the
implementation details so I'm filing against the terminal itself.
