Workspace Switching Keyboard Shortcuts do not work

Bug description:
The summary says it all -- I've changed the shortcuts, reset defaults,
used CCSM to configure shortcuts -- Unity Tweak, Ubuntu Tweak, et al
-- cannot get it to work. The particular one I'm interested in is the
"Move (switch to) Workspace Right" and "Move(switch to) Workspace
Left".
