Title:
monitor resolution resets on restart in dual monitor (twinview) setup
Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
After upgrading to 13.10 from 13.04, I started having a problem where
after restart or on log out/log in the resolution of one my monitors
always changes. I have a CRT monitor running 1600x1200@75 and a LCD
monitor running 1600x1200@60. On restart, the CRT monitor resolution
changes to 1280x1024@85 which seems to be the preferred resolution by
xrandr (but not me!)

I have changed and saved the resolution I want in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
