Title:
Mouse Freezes upon first log in when interacting with keyboard

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Upon the very first log in into my Ubuntu 11.10 account while running
the Unity Interface after boot, once I type or open a RAM/CPU
powerhouse application the mouse freezes. It doesn't matter how long I
wait after loging in, the mouse will always lock up after one of the
above actions are initiated. I can still right click, and the rest of
the system is fully functionable. The only way out is to
'crtl+alt+del', and log out. Then log back into my account. After
  that, everything is fine.
