>From some of the words that appear in in the description it sounds like
perhaps the Unity Panel is not appearing in your system. Are other
Unity components (Launcher, Dash) appearing? Are window controls (close
button, etc) present?
What commands did you use to "reset compiz" and what results did you
expect?
