The phantom display is being reported by -nouveau, but the flickering
cursor is an artefact of PRIME. Odd as there should be no reason for it
to switch to a software cursror.

** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-
video-nouveau (Ubuntu)

Title:
  Ubuntu thinks I have three displays connected - I have only two.

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-nouveau” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I was curious why my cursor flickers... and I opened settings of displays and
realised Ubuntu thought I had 3 displays connected (1 external - OK, 1 built-in
in the laptop - OK, 1 small with 1024x768 - WHAT??, it is marked as "unknown
display")
  When I disable it, the flickering of cursor stops.
