Title: Unable to install Search Engines in Firefox 25.0 Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: On 4 November 2013, I tried to add a couple of Search Engines to the Firefox search box. I was not able to install Search Engines using Manage Search Engines from the list of ADD-ONS presented when I did a search for add-ons. Steps to reproduce: I tried to add a couple of Search Engines to Firefox 25.0. Actual results: The plugin was not installed. I received the error message "Sorry, you need a Mozilla-based browser (such as Firefox) to install a search plugin.". Expected results: A new Search Engine should have been installed. 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu UIbuntu 13.04 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center firefox 25.0+build3-0ubuntu0.13.04.1 3) What you expected to happen I added a new search engines to the search engines that I already have. 4) What happened instead I was unable to add a new search engine.
