Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
  Rhythmbox 2.99.1 crashes, File
  "/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/artsearch/embedded.py", line 38,
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_sample'

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I started Rhythmbox and it worked fine until I tried to play a song,
at which point it'd freeze. Running it from the terminal I got this
  traceback.

  (rhythmbox:12839): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: Custom constructor for class
SoupServer returned NULL (which is invalid). Unable to remove object from
construction_objects list, so memory was probably just leaked. Please use
GInitable instead.
Unable to open ~/.mtpz-data for reading, MTPZ disabled.Traceback (most recent
call last):
    File "/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/artsearch/embedded.py", line 38, in
discovered_cb
      (found, sample) = tags.get_sample(tagname)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_sample'

Seems like it might be related to this:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1242806

(Dunno if this is relevant, but just prior I was having some issues
with Rhythmbox not able to open /run/user/1000/pulse when trying to
play a song. I fixed that by taking the ownership of that directory.)

Running Ubuntu 13.10 on an ASUS K53SV laptop, Rhythmbox 2.99.1
