Title:
[hd3670] Driver says DisplayPort is enabled on when it isn't

Status in The Somerville Project:
  Won't Fix
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Ubuntu Intrepid, fully up to date as of June 26.

  xserver-xorg-video-ati version 1:6.8.192-1

The driver claims that the DisplayPort on the graphics card is enabled
when nothing is plugged in. I have verified this on two different
machines that contain a RadeonHD 3670. Please see the attached xorg
  logs.
