Bug description:
  When providing proxy username and password in System -> Preferences ->
  Network Proxy -> Manual Proxy Autentication -> Details, values are
  stored in environment variable http_proxy. However, from a terminal
  window, proxy password is displayed cleartext:

  $ env | grep http_proxy
  http_proxy=http://ProxyUser:myproxypasswordincleart...@proxy.mydomain.com:80/
