follow up on jack detection. I've opened git link and it looks like the fix is in 3.12 kernel, but I'm running default ubuntu 3.11 kernel, not sure if that fix was backported by kernel devs/ubuntu kernel team into 3.11. Anyways 14.04 is almost here, and it would run 3.13 kernel.
