Public bug reported: The Sharp 19" analogue monitor is connected to Intel "sandy-bridge" graphics using DVI-I. It is detected as "Unknown" and the maximum resolution is 1024x768. The same monitor connected using D-Sub to a different PC (with Intel graphics) is detected correctly under 10.04, 10.10, 11.04 and 11.10. A Liyama 19" monitor is correctly detected on this second PC using 10.04, and is "Unknown" under 11.04. However, the correct 1280x1024 resolution is set. The problem appears to be associated with either the "sandy-bridge" graphics and/or the need to a DVI-I connector, as the motherboard has no D-Sub connector.
