  No longer able to set volume using the volume wheel

Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Previously I could use the volume wheel on my laptop to set the volume
  and now it no longer works. I am using gnome classic and it worked
  until I upgraded to Precise Pangolin.
