may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running

Title:
Default "Library Location" settings causes a performance issue

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The default library location of Rhythmbox is set to $HOME and
$HOME/.ubuntuone/Purchased%20from%20Ubuntu%20One at the first time of
activation. Even if org.gnome.rhytmbox.rhythmdb was set to empty by
manual using gsettings, the default directories are added
  automatically.

Why doesn't it add $HOME/Music or something instead of $HOME?
Everytime Rhythmbox scans whole my directories and it causes serious
performance fall. What's worse is that when I changed the "Libray
Location" while Rhythmbox was scanning $HOME, it crashed.

I've just switched to Banshee again.
