You have been subscribed to a public bug: Upon upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04 i am unable to search for any applications in the unity search. It simply says "Sorry there is nothing that matches your search." I am still able to search for files. No applications are shown when pressing the super key and going to the applications tab either. Please fix this soon as this is a major hindrance. Newly installed applications as well as pinned applcations are still shown on the launcher.
