Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
rhythmbox removes song from library when external visualization is
  closed

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 with a 5 day old, 64 bit installation. Intel
  core2 CPU 8GB ram.

the output of apt-cache policy rhythmbox:

  rhythmbox:
    Installed: 0.13.1-0ubuntu6
    Candidate: 0.13.1-0ubuntu6
    Version table:
   *** 0.13.1-0ubuntu6 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick-updates/main amd64
Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
       0.13.1-0ubuntu5 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages

I haven't installed any plugins for rhythem box or changed any
settings. I didn't even import any music, it just found it in my music
  folder.

  to duplicate the issue:

when running with View -> small display checked I open the
visualizations window. When i click the close button on the
visualizations window, it moves onto the next song, closes the window,
re opens the window with the next song and the current song is out of
the library and requires a restart of the program to get back into the
library (is it auto scanning the music folder i assume?)

I realize the importance of this bug is not huge, but its a bug none
  the less.

I am running compiz but other than that, i have made no alterations to
  my Gnome/Ubuntu installation.
