Found a lighter solution to this bug here :

http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=16346471

1- go to "about:config" and set "ui.use_unity_menubar" to false
2- right click on the menu bar and tick "Menus bar"
3- set back "ui.use_unity_menubar" to true in about:config

Et voilà :)

  Firefox menu button displayed

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Since last upgrade to firefox 28 the firefox menu button on top left
of the window is displayed. So we got two menus : the global menu
(provided by unity) and the one provided by the menu button.
