Hi how to

I'm also experiencig this problem. Was your installation an upgrade or
a fresh install? I experienced the same problem on an upgrade but after
a fresh install I could log on, but the card now cuts out after a few
minutes/secs.

I've tried the fglrx driver but experience the cut out issue. When I
get 5mins I'll install the linux non-free firmware and the fglrx
updates. The card might need the firmware to run the window system
according to the Debian wiki's.

Title:
Garbled display on 14.04 with ATI Radeon HD 7750

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I've got a problem with 14.04 on a machine with an ATI Radeon HD 7750
after upgrading from 13.10. With the opensource drivers it shows
garbled desktop where the pointer acts normally. With the proprietary
drivers I don't even get to the desktop after logging in.

A photo of my login screen please check the attachment.
