On my machine, where i work and the printer is  *not* attached:
/etc/cups/ppd$ ls -Al
insgesamt 0

Printing from LibreOffice gave me a strange error window but worked perfect, no 
error about printer missing or something.
The log from /var/log/cups/error_log is attached.

  gs crashed with SIGSEGV in TrioWriteDouble()

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Since Trusty i have problems with my printer.
  I is attached to my second machine, public shared and added at this machine.
  But every time i want to print there is an second printer (the 
same=duplicate) and only this one works/prints!
  I do not know if this is interesting for the bug report or not...

  Today, i got this crash while using "the wrong" (installed) printer,
  switching to the other=same it works...
