Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue

Title:
Can not add Yahoo account on fresh raring installs

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
On fresh raring installs (I have tried on 3) when trying to add a yahoo
account, on first try I do see the username and password boxes, but after
pressing done/cancel, I can not get them to show again, neither by adding a new
yahoo account, nor by editing the existing one. (Only the Cancel and Done
buttons appear, no textboxes)
  This did work on Quantal.

After debugging, the line it seems to get blocked on is "if
  (priv->ready)" in method empathy_account_settings_check_readyness from
empathy-account-settings.c (the debug log before is printed, but the
log after - neither the one in the if nor the one after the closing
  bracket - is not).

Let me know if I can help you with any further details.

As a note: the symptoms are similar to the ones of bug #1147639, only
that one is for the IRC provider.
