Comment from upstream:

> This will be solved by removing the trayicon support and replacing it with an
> optional plugin that supports only GNOME classic. The user will have to

> this causes heavy problems with GNOME shell.

> Fix (removal) will be released with 1.11.0

Title:
Liferea does not appear in Messaging Menu

Status in “liferea” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Reported upstream at https://github.com/lwindolf/liferea/issues/25

  Binary package hint: liferea

  Liferea 1.6.3
Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal

  What i expect to happen:
When i start Liferea i expect to see the icon in the message tray (system
tray) area.

  What happens:
Liferea starts, and the message tray flickers a bit (most likely trying to
add the icon) but then nothing gets added.
If when i start liferea from terminal the only output is "set zoom: 1.00"
