Public bug reported: When you have two monitors their positioning is being reset after logout/login. 1. Go to Gnome settings, Displays. 2. You'll see that monitors are top-aligned. See screenshot initial_setup.png. 3. Move second monitor to the bottom, so monitor will become bottom-aligned, apply and save changes. See bottom_aligned.png 4. Log out from Gnome and log in again. 5. Go to Gnome settings, Displays.
Expected: Positioning of the monitors remains, they should be bottom aligned. Actual: Positioning is reset and they are again top-aligned ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.6.3-0ubuntu56 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.47-generic 3.13.9 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Thu May 15 11:42:38 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2011-04-30 (1110 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-05-07 (7 days ago) usr_lib_gnome-control-center: activity-log-manager 0.9.7-0ubuntu14 ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty ** Attachment added: "initial_setup.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1319722/+attachment/4112929/+files/initial_setup.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1319722 Title: Displays settings is being reset after logout Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When you have two monitors their positioning is being reset after logout/login. 1.
