- My system is Ubuntu12.04.4 on laptop. I use "Sound Recorder" to record
- via microphone, the recording process looks normal, but when played back
- there is no sound heard.

- Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
- Volume: input 60%, output 60%
- Mode: Analog Mono, Analog Stereo Input
- Record as: .flac, .ogg, .wav, .spx (all failed)

- Can play an existing .wav file.
