Hi, just for the record: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
will not update the logo and Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS will still report "Ubuntu 13.10" instead of anything else. The attached screenshot is for the 49th machine I converted to GNU/Linux (https://t.co/ZvquPNLdjY) and I just checked my machine and it has the same thing still. I have not changed anything; same settings as both fresh new installations and NO PPA is added. Thank you! ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2014-05-15 20_59_36.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1299912/+attachment/4113338/+files/Screenshot%20from%202014-05-15%2020_59_36.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1299912 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 report as 13.10 Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Fix Committed Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “gnome-control-center” source package in Trusty: Fix Committed Status in “gnome-control-center” source package in Utopic: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] gnome-control-center details panel shows the incorrect version. This merges the changes that were applied to unity-control-center to generate the version at build-time. Also replaces Ubuntu logo with a GNOME logo. [Test Case] View details pane in gnome-control-center and note incorrect version [Regression Potential] None, apart from the build time processing, all this does is switch out the logo file == Original Report == aaron@mac-the-knife:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
