** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/913776 Title: rhythmbox closes unexpectedly (mostly on clicking 'play') Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: I installed Rhyhmbox through Lubuntus Software Center - no errors. In preferences>Music I checked the box to watch for new files in /home/Music - imports only a small fractions of my files (400MB/4.4GB) - no more busy loading bar in the bottom right I click 'play' anyway and it closes down on me (quits the program). Retrying a couple of times brings forward the same error - once it even quits before I can click the 'play' button. Then disable 'watch for new files' and right-click an mp3 file to open it in rhythmbox, it jumps to rhythmbox and does nothing (also does not quit). Clicking 'play' now gives me the error message: Playback could not be started (in German) (null). I suppose it is a Lubuntu problem, because it never occured to me on ubuntu.
