Public bug reported: On Trusty, I was unable to blank a Sony 2X BD-RE Bluray disc with a HP BH40N Bluray disc rewriter/ Burner
Steps: 1. Open Brasero, select tool -> blank 2. Click the "Blank" button to wipe the disc You will see the progress bar running, and status changing from Blanking -> Ejecting Medium -> Success A prompt dialog will pop-up, saying that the disc was successfully blanked. But it's not. I got the same result when trying to blank it with the following command: brasero --blank=/dev/sr0 (with the volume unmounted) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: brasero 3.10.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.46-generic 3.13.9 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Mon Jul 7 05:53:16 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-07-04 (3 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140417) SourcePackage: brasero UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1338516 Title: Unable to blank Bluray discs Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: On Trusty, I was unable to blank a Sony 2X BD-RE Bluray disc with a HP BH40N Bluray disc rewriter/ Burner Steps: 1.
