Public bug reported: I'm not sure whether this is a "false lockup" or not. The display became unresponsive for maybe a second or two and then was back to life again followed by the apport message.
Not sure what else I can provide information-wise other than this is a retina macbook pro early 2013 model with intel IGP 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09). I have several usb devices hook-ed up: - wireless is turned-on and associated with a network - I have a display-port-to-vga adapter connected to one monitor and an hdmi-to-dvi adapter connected to another - finally I also have a thunderbolt ethernet adapter plugged-in. (my wireless adapter is the inbuilt broadcom 4331 running with proprietary drivers.) There should be plenty of attached debugging information from apport I hope which might help better diagnose the problem than I can describe it. It seems to be happening randomly and sporadically. I've had two such notifications of GPU lockups today in the past 8 hours, which makes it difficult to understand how one might reproduce the issue on-demand.
