Archive Manager opens the archive file and the archive hierarchy is partially displayed, but there is no warning that file is corrupt and the displayed tree is corrupt/incomplete. Listing archive with tar -t exits with error, and opening the archive with an alternative manager (ark) also displays partial hierarchy, but does display a message warning that the tar file is corrupt.
