Title:
fails to connect to wired ieee802.11x and crashes

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

On karmic beta+updates with nm version
  0.8~a~git.20091005t192303.1d28ad1-0ubuntu2, I cannot connect to a
wired network requiring 802.11x authentication. After asking for the
password again (although it was correct), nm-applet crashes. In the
syslog, the line about SSL seems to indicate some problem.

Authentication works fine with ifupdown and wpasupplicant.
